Space
A light visual presence can sit gently alongside the room’s architecture, leaving other pieces to take the lead.
Colour
Let cream anchor the scheme, with blue and brown and green and orange and pink and red and yellow as supporting colours to pick up in nearby furnishings. A small shared colour can connect the curtains to the rest of the room.
What works
Let the pattern act as a focal point, with quieter neighbouring surfaces giving the eye somewhere to rest.
