Curtain Installation Guide
Fit Your Curtains Like a Pro
Installing your new curtains is simple when you follow our step-by-step instructions. Whether you're using a curtain pole or track, we’ll help you get the perfect finish.
🛠️ What You’ll Need:
-
Curtain pole or track
-
Screws and wall plugs
-
Drill and screwdriver
-
Spirit level
-
Pencil and measuring tape
-
Step ladder
-
Curtains (of course!)
🧭 Step 1: Mark the Position
-
Use a tape measure and spirit level to mark where your pole or track brackets will go.
-
We recommend placing your pole 15–20cm above the window and extending 15–30cm beyond each side for maximum coverage and light control.
🔩 Step 2: Fit the Brackets
-
Drill holes where marked.
-
Insert wall plugs (especially in plaster walls).
-
Screw in the brackets firmly.
-
Double-check the alignment with your level before tightening.
🪵 Step 3: Attach the Pole or Track
-
For poles: Slide on curtain rings (if using) before attaching to brackets.
-
For tracks: Clip or screw the track into position per manufacturer instructions.
🧵 Step 4: Hang the Curtains
Based on Curtain Header Type:
-
Eyelet Curtains: Simply slide each eyelet onto the pole.
-
Pencil Pleat Curtains: Pull the heading tape strings to gather to the correct width, then attach curtain hooks to the back loops.
-
Tab Top or Tie Top Curtains: Loop over the pole and tie or slide as needed.
Make sure the curtains are evenly gathered and hang at the desired drop.
✅ Final Checks
-
Adjust gathers or folds for a balanced look.
-
Test draw the curtains to ensure smooth movement.
-
Steam or iron out creases if needed (check fabric care instructions first).
