How to measure

Record your measurements in centimetres. Measure the intended curtain coverage, then the finished drop. We calculate the fabric fullness for you.

  1. 1. Full coverage width

Measure the full usable track length, or the usable pole span between the finials. Enter that width once, even when ordering a pair. Choose track width or pole usable width in the configurator.

  2. 2. Finished drop

Measure from the intended top of the finished curtain to the level where you want its bottom edge. The top position depends on your heading and track or pole. Confirm that position before measuring; do not use the ceiling as the start unless the curtain top will be there.

For floor length, check the floor at several points and allow your chosen clearance. For sill length, decide whether the curtain finishes above or below the sill. Keep radiators and handles clear.

  3. Check the fixing position

Wall and ceiling brackets put the curtain in different positions. If your track or pole is not fitted, agree its intended location and usable coverage before entering your measurements.

Common measuring mistakes

Mixing millimetres and centimetres; measuring the glass instead of curtain coverage; adding fullness yourself; assuming the floor or two sides are level; measuring before deciding where the curtain top will sit.
