How to measure

Record your measurements in centimetres. Measure the intended curtain coverage, then the finished drop. We calculate the fabric fullness for you.

Illustration only — use your own measurements, never scale from this drawing.
  1. 1–3. Number each section

Start at the left and work around the bay. Enter the number of sections and the width of each section along the intended track route. The example shows three sections; use the actual number in your bay.

  2. 4. Finished drop

Measure from the intended curtain top to the chosen bottom edge. Check several positions around the bay. If different drops are needed, ask us to confirm the arrangement.

  3. Check the complete coverage

We add your section widths to calculate total coverage. Do not add the same corner twice or enter the total again as another section. No Bay angles are needed for curtain pricing. Track manufacture and fitting may need their own survey.

Common measuring mistakes

Mixing millimetres and centimetres; measuring the glass instead of curtain coverage; adding fullness yourself; assuming the floor or two sides are level; measuring before deciding where the curtain top will sit.
